Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By registering for Tanzania Green Summit, submitting your details, making a payment, downloading a ticket, accessing your registration dashboard, or attending the event, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not complete registration or make payment through the platform.
2. Event organizer
Tanzania Green Summit is organized by Grina Foundation, an organization focused on environmental work and bringing together stakeholders in the environment sector.
3. Registration eligibility and information
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering. This may include your full name, email address, phone number, country, organization details, student details, invitation code, and payment information.
Some packages may be restricted to specific participant categories, including students, residents, non-residents, invited guests, government representatives, NGOs, corporate participants, sponsors, exhibitors, or other stakeholder groups.
Grina Foundation may request additional information to verify your eligibility for a package. If the package selected does not match your eligibility, we may request that you choose another package, update your registration, or cancel the registration subject to the refund conditions below.
4. Tickets and confirmation
Your registration is confirmed only after your required details are submitted and the applicable payment is successfully confirmed. Tickets or registration confirmations may be sent by email, shown in your dashboard, or made available for download.
You are responsible for keeping your ticket secure. Tickets may not be copied, sold, transferred, altered, or shared without approval from Grina Foundation.
5. Payments
Payments may be made through the payment methods available on the registration page, including mobile money, card payment, bank-supported payment, or other methods enabled by Grina Foundation.
Payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers, banks, mobile money operators, or card processors. Payment confirmation depends on successful authorization from the payment provider or financial institution.
Grina Foundation does not intentionally store full card numbers, CVV codes, or complete card authentication details on the registration platform.
6. Prices, package availability, and charges
Package prices are displayed before payment. Prices may be shown in Tanzanian Shillings or another supported currency. Unless clearly stated otherwise, prices may be subject to applicable taxes, mobile money charges, bank charges, card processing charges, exchange-rate differences, or administrative fees.
Package availability, package conditions, and pricing may be updated before registration is completed. A package is only confirmed after successful payment and registration confirmation.
7. Refunds, cancellations, and transfers
Refunds and cancellations are handled according to the event policy communicated by Grina Foundation. Unless a specific package states otherwise:
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to admin@greensummit.tz.
- Approved refunds may exclude mobile money charges, bank charges, card processing charges, exchange-rate differences, and administrative costs.
- Refund approval is not automatic and may depend on the timing of the request, package type, payment status, and event preparation costs already incurred.
- Tickets may not be transferred to another person unless approved by Grina Foundation.
- If the event is postponed, your registration may remain valid for the new date unless Grina Foundation communicates otherwise.
8. Event changes
Grina Foundation may change event dates, venue, speakers, session times, agenda, access rules, event format, or program details where necessary. We will make reasonable efforts to notify registered participants of important changes through the website, email, SMS, phone, or other communication channels.
9. Participant conduct
Participants must behave respectfully and comply with event rules, venue rules, security checks, health and safety requirements, and instructions from authorized event staff.
Grina Foundation may refuse entry, remove a participant, or cancel registration without refund where a participant engages in fraud, harassment, abusive behavior, unsafe conduct, misuse of tickets, unauthorized access, or violation of these Terms.
10. Invitation codes and restricted packages
Some packages may require an invitation code or approval. Invitation codes are personal and may not be sold, shared publicly, reused, or transferred without permission.
Grina Foundation may reject or cancel registrations made with invalid, expired, shared, or unauthorized invitation codes.
11. Photos, videos, and media
By attending the event, you understand that photos, videos, livestreams, recordings, and media coverage may be captured at the venue. Grina Foundation may use event media for documentation, publicity, reporting, social media, sponsor reports, and future event promotion.
If you have a specific concern about being photographed or recorded, contact the event team before or during the event.
12. Website and platform availability
We aim to keep the registration platform available, reliable, and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable due to maintenance, internet issues, hosting issues, payment provider issues, security updates, or events beyond our control.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, Grina Foundation will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, travel costs, accommodation costs, or other consequential losses arising from registration, payment delays, event changes, postponement, cancellation, or use of the platform.
14. Data protection and privacy
We collect and process personal information according to our Privacy Policy. Please read the Privacy Policy to understand what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights.
15. Changes to these Terms
Grina Foundation may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the registration platform after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes will be handled through appropriate courts or dispute resolution mechanisms in Tanzania, unless another written agreement applies.
